The reason people don't like the sound of their own voice is because it's simply not they way they hear it themselves. When you speak the sound waves of your voice get modified by your skull before they hit your ears, so you hear your voice the way it would sound if you were speaking into a small drum or something similar. Everyone else hears your voice without this 'drum' effect. It's damn irritating to hear your own voice without the drum effect, because hey 'that's not how I fucking sound'.
