Topic: Experimenting with marijuana and lucid dreams
jump !VIfloDyEYo started this discussion 15 years ago#2,219
I'm gonna stop smoking for a few days, maybe longer. I plan to take advantage of an increased period of REM sleep which happens after cessation of marijuana use.
I will be recording my experience and hope to use this to develop a REM/weed cycle.
If anyone has interest, I'll bump this topic with reports each day.
i dont see that as a negative. I mean, I would expect equal pleasure equal plain sort of thing.

Lose the drugs. Fasting is superior for inducing hallucinogenic states.

Indeed lol. I once had a grey out while standing in the subway because id hadnt eaten that day. Shit was crazy, I started feeling light headed and gradually my vision started going white, until i couldnt see anything for about a minute or so. I started to get a cold sweat and I was trying to keep myself from passing out. After that minute my vision started to turn back to normal, but for about 30 seconds after everything still looked really bright. It was crazy, but also in the back of my mind i was like, damn this shit is trippy and i was trying to enjoy the ride lol.

If you find yourself waking up in a Lucid dream, if you spin, or fall back or rub your hands together, it throws you back into the dream fully.
Almost without fail. The spinning trick has always worked for me. Rubbing your hands is about 50/50. I've never tried falling back. Spinning is more effective from what I have read.

I didn't know I should be looking for one.
I will try to find it next time.

I've never heard of that before. Unfortunately, I am unable to lucid dream or astrally project.

I tried to access the 419 astrally to hang out with /x/ people, but it didn't work. I don't think I invoked whatever thing I was supposed to be invoking.

I've never been able to accomplish this. I've tried to meet Matt several times.

> DR? dream recall? >
Ya... I'm just accustomed to the lingo.
Another dreamer used Calea in combination with a low dose of Salvia, and I remever having read about that combo elsewhere as well~

You need a very distinct (simple yet unique) place, otherwise it has NO chance to work even IF Shared Dreaming were real.

Can you give me some more tips about this?
Nega !34Kas0OdzM replied with this 15 years ago, 1 hour later, 1 day after the original post[^][v]#41,617
Yes, sure.
To synchronize the dreams, a common idea has to be present in the mind of the Dreamers.
This can be a single room, a house or a whole floating island, but like technology, psionics only become more susceptible to failure the more complex your creations become.
I would suggest using a simple template that is present in everybody's mind (like a clearing in a dense forest) and adding distinctive landmarks to it (a bright red Obelisk in its center, engraved with burning symbols) to make the place both common enough to be easily remembered, and unique enough to be easily distinguished from similar locations.
Now if you intend to meet up with your Circle, all you need to do is make sure the concept and feel of the meeting place's key features are fresh on their minds and hope they become lucid enough to seek it out.

Day 3 report
I recall my dream as much as I usually do. I did not become lucid, even though cartoon characters were present. Fail.
I'm having a lot of trouble getting to sleep from the withdrawal. Sucks hard.

what happened to that game you were gonna make?
i doubt this experimentation is going to take off swimmingly in light of this information you will hopefully provide in response to the question I've posed

I wish it were possible though. I really like the idea.

oh, that's right... from what i can remember, you were asking for help in areas of your idea in which you had no knowledge of. fucking terrible. i, too, really liked the idea

Had many dreams last night, but never got lucid =(
Tried WILD and was not successful. felt very strange though for sitting still so long.

Did you try to WILD in the evening or in the morning?
Because if you did the former I'd have to call you out for making one of the most common n00b mistakes ever. ;-)

I did it after sleeping for a bit. I was following what all the guides said was the easiest method.

It's been a week. I've been having amazingly epic and vivid dreams. Never lucid though.
I remember the dreams pretty clearly.
Example - get really nice hotel room in a spa, invite my friend over. 2 prostitutes are in room so I remove them while trying to act like I didn't who they were, but they treated me like a close friend. I didn't really know who they were. Then I was chasing someone in a speedboat and it became the final star wars movie, but star wars was incomplete. to make sure no other movies could he made, we were including all the wizard of oz references. Which included that wizard from he-man. He turned into an instrument when with his "people." They played a little song.

Kids, this is your brain on drugs, even when it has been off drugs for a week.
