I just bought a cheapy laptop, and I decided to set up to dual-boot Windows 7 and Kubuntu Precise.
Fresh Windows 7 install: Networking, WiFi, and half the system drivers don't work. Stuck in some fuck-off strange low-res graphics mode using an external mouse.
Fresh Kubuntu 12.04 install: Everything works. Use this to get online and download the Windows 7 drivers so I can activate and update the Windows side.
I was amused.
