I would sooner be dead than harm an innocent person. If I get lucky and I am fast enough to take him down before he can pull the trigger, that means that the number of kids scarred drops to zero. This monster would harm children, and probably has already, regardless of my decision. Thus, he should be put down at any personal risk. If I survive, the courts would recognize I killed a pedophile in self defense.
