Topic: Should child pornography be legalized?

I was caught with CP when I was 14-years-old. I was charged with possession and also making it as there were pictures of myself jerking off on my phone. I didn't distribute any of it (including the pictures of myself). Basically I had counseling once a fortnight for a year and that was the punishment. I just spent the time arguing with them that CP is totally harmless, it's already been created, viewing the material won't cause the kid to get fucked again, etc. Their argument was always "but it creates a demand for it". I would try to explain that it was physically impossible for the original creator to know about each respective download. Of course it's impossible to actually get through to people so bigoted.

Basically I don't think child porn should be illegal. If it remains illegal pictures/video of murder, assault, rape or material that document any crime should also be contraband. Why the double standard? At the very least it should be legal for kids to possess CP. What do you think?
