So you'd maybe kill to protect yourself or your family if life depended on it. You might even kill in the name of your country in a war somewhere deemed just. But wOuld you kill in the nane of god, on holy pretext, meaning you believe your killing to be ordained from above?
I've always thought that kind of stuff was for olden people in the bible, but it seems to still be happening in places around the world despite me thinking we should know better. So what do you think, would you holy war if it came to that?

No because God doesn't fucking exist and the world would be a much better place without any religion.

What if conscientious objectors were killed as heretics. Would that change your heart?

Nah. If the government had deteriorated to the point where such a thing was enforced, I would have tried to go into hiding or something beforehand.
But if escape isn't an option, then I'd like to think that I still wouldn't go along with it. If I'm going to kill complete strangers, I need a much better reason than an imaginary man telling me to.

I would make lots of love in the name of going to war. Just not actually go to war.

What would be the point? Surely a god can kill people far more easily and effectively than I could.
FAO: Any deities out there
Please do your own killing. -Thanks

Ok, let's say israel declares war on iran, who tries to then exterminate the jews, and then the pope agrees with evangelical baptists that it's a war against god and christians should pick up arms to finally defeat the moors.
Would you fight for christianity to the death of somone else?

well it starts out with the dude taking his kid up the mountain so he can kill it, but then god put a stop to it. god didn't want people doing that anymore and so the kid lived. but god had also commanded it of him, and let's face it god murdered millions in the floods already, so i don't know why god suddenly grows a conscience.
but anyway, after god admitted he'd made a mistake with the whole asking him to kill the kid thing i think it brings god's unfailability into question.

That story tells me that God does not want people to kill other people.

God kills list of people in the bible, though. Almost casually.

Yeah, this story only means god was done with child sacrifice. Doean't eeally address killing in his name. Probably more on that in the book of david and the like.

I think maybe Jesus had something to say on the matter.
