This particular protest group is known for doing things like intentionally blocking traffic because they hate cars so much. Some of them are basically eco-terrorists and it wouldn't surprise me if they were banging on his car and being asshole protesters in general. That of course does not give him the right to run down people with his car, especially people who had nothing to do with whatever was being done to him, if anything. He should be charged with attempted homicide.
