What would you prefer then? They say Yahweh, Jehova, Elohim, Allah, G-d? Christians use it specifically to denote the god of Abraham and the conception of "Him" is distinguished through capital letters in regard to pronoun and proper nouns. Deal with it.

I already knew that. That is what I'm talking about. > Deal with it.
I'm not going to deal with improper pronoun bullshit.

Some people capitalize pronouns that refer to God to show reverence for His name. Others capitalize pronouns that refer to God to make it more clear who is being referred to. Others do not capitalize pronouns that refer to God because they believe proper English grammar/syntax/style should be followed.
This is not a right vs. wrong issue. Each follows his/her own conviction and each of us should refrain from judging those who take a different viewpoint. However if you chose to judge others then you are free to ram your head up your ass.

If I ever had the chance to redesign that custom, I'd stipulate that all written references to to 6()c| refer to |-|1/\/\ using leetspeak substitutions for letters. Maybe we can convince church leaders that this will make online religious forums seem more hip and trendy to the younger generation...

You know who else was a grammar "nazi"?

Are you seriously comparing yourself to Martin Luther?

@345,299 (E) > condemn people for judging others > urge him restraint in judging people with different viewpoints
Your quest to take the high road reveals its futility. I have no problem judging others because everyone does it. Some of us are far too arrogant to pretend we don't, so fuck you.

It removes the need of context. "Indeed, he has risen." Can refer to anybody, and so context is needed, a few more sentences. However "Indeed, He has risen." Tells us that it is God, and so all the context we need is in that one sentence.

Yep, I avoid capitalising it too.
@345,305 (Anonymous I)
I want to disagree with you, but I did hear about somebody using "lol" in an English essay at college. :/
Still, it's not as bad as you make out. We've had textspeak for years now and people still seem to be using grammar more or less properly when they need to.

Maybe they shouldn't use a pronoun when a noun is sufficient.

Seriously OP, are you so fucking stupid as to not know what the other religions of the world are about? So long as Islam exists, complaining about Christianity is fucked up and wrong. I mean if you want to rip on Christianity at least do so from a rationalist or Buddhist perspective to have some shred of credibility.
