There is apparently a Minecraft server dedicated to the construction of Republic City and when completed it's going to be a roleplay server most likely to include the bending plugin for Minecraft Bukkit.

You can find their sub-reddit here:

And they have a dynamicmap so you can follow their progress. So far, only the air temple has been constructed.
