American Crossroads and its affiliated nonprofit Crossroads GPS have also canceled a scheduled buy this week on Akin’s behalf.
He has until 5PM EST Tuesday to withdraw his Penis from the race.

so apparently the whole "legitimate rape" things was a simple, albeit awful, lingual misstep. he meant "forced rape."
you know, like knife to the throat, you kicking and screaming sort of rape.
