Maximum Likelihood Predictors? Sure, I don't see why not. As a field, statistics is tending to move toward Bayesian methodologies more and more nowadays. As long as children are exposed to both and given a firm grounding in Bayesian Estimation as well, I don't see the harm in exposing them to multiple methods.
