Curiosity remains in good health with all systems operating as expected.
Closing in at a little more than 8,000 mph (about 3,600 meters per second). The voyage to Mars took over eight months and spanned 352 million miles.

The 10 feet (3 meters) long mini Cooper sized Curiosity is loaded with 10 state-of-the-art science experiments that will search for organic molecules – the building blocks of life. She is the most sophisticated robot ever sent to the surface of another world. Curiosity will investigate the Red Planet like never before and look for signs of Martian microbial life and habitable zones by analyzing soil and rock samples with high powered analytical chemistry instruments.

Ya betcha. I set up a generator on the beach. Fire pits with pitchers of Margaritas n bottles of Champagne and a mass of friends. Set up a 40 Inch TV to view NASA TV Live feed and party just ended. Just a few came over from Malin Space Science Systems, the people that made all the TV cameras for the rover. Malin is about 10 minutes away. 20 Tri Tip roasts are now history along with a mass of marshmallows with most ending up as carbon.
