No half brained white supremacist gunman is going to confuse Sikhs with Islam. Sikhism is actually very peaceful and in line with Western values, there are no Sikh terrorists, it's like the opposite of Islam.

It is practically a cultural universal that the history of religion and the history of silly headgear goes hand-in-hand.
