i would say that it's because you can't really critique the musicality of the same, generic, poppy "techno" or jazzy r&b "feel" to the music other than to say it's the same, generic, poppy techno or r&b feeling music that sounds as regurgitated and mixed as every tune on the elevator. so since you can't really critique the music, you have to focus on the lyrics, which, i heard, bounced manically between misogynistic lady bashing and apologizing.

As if any of these guys make "art." The fact they are appreciated in their lifetimes for selling an image first and music second virtually assures them of fail. Future generations will shit all over us for listing to this shit. We'll be like cavemen to them.
