Topic: What's the most calories you've burned in a single day?

Mindwurms !!4IKKtS9GG started this discussion 15 years ago #2,111

A day constituting 24 hours. For me it's 4,500, but I'm going to go for 5,250 now, and I've slept over the evening in preparation. I'll post a pic of the count on my treadmill if I make it, I'm hoping to get it in 10 hours or by about 6 AM where I am.
That's 1.5 pounds of fat, by the way.

You are going to treadmill for that long? Walk only or a run/walk combo?

Walk only. 3 mph, 10% incline. ~500 calories/hour.

How much calories does fapping get rid of? Both burned and spat out? Provided no recycling takes place.

I read in Muscle News or something it can be as high as 300 calories for a 20 minute session, but I'm not sure if that's with or without struggling against a malfunctioning sexbot.
Personally, I don't think it's anything worth writing home about.

It's 10 PM and I have 1450 calories. That's a bit less than 3 hours in. I've got 7.6 hours to go, and class starting at 8:30 AM. Assuming I rehydrate/eat every hour and a half, I should be done by about 7, or two hours later than if I walked continuously.

I don't think this is happening tonight, I had some soup and grapes and I'm getting pretty tired. I started at 6 PM, so I'll have to get in another 3800 calories sometime between now and 6 tomorrow.

I hope you are eating more today too.

High cardio and low calories stalls weightless at an insane rate.

If you do this often, I would be interested in your posting calories/burned, calories/consumed and weight loss.

I am a bit confused. Do you mean you lose or gain weight?

You don't lose weight an its possible to gain weight, but it's likely water retention or something. Not actual fat gain.

I never allow myself to remain hungry because I believe that causes muscle fatigue and lengthens recovery time. I don't count calories consumed but I try to eat mainly fruits, vegetables, bran flakes and other low-sugar cereals, and the occasional lighter meat like fish or chicken. When I eat out, it's not always as healthy but I try to eat some fruit or oatmeal beforehand so I can skip the appetizers and dessert (I eat fast food maybe once every month, if that, and only a burger or breakfast sandwich). I assume between my healthy eating and my mindful unhealthy eating I probably equate to about my BMR or a little bit more.

Like 1500 on a treadmill, lol. But I don't put on much weight anyway and I care not about my health.

You also lose muscle during fasting and you body clings to its fat stores (drawing its energy from muscle mass), so you may lose weight but you'll look fatter. The body can't manufacture mass, but it can slow down metabolism and make you feel sluggish and lethargic. This discourages exercise so even if you aren't eating as much, you're also not burning as many calories.

My main goal is abs in time for Spring Break.

You only lose muscle if you don't hbe adequate protein (which is a lot hen dieting) and resistance to maintain. You could do no cardio and extemely low calories and be ok if you ate nough protein and did a full body strength training routine 1-2x a week.

Why can't you count calories? You are gonna see diminishing returns with high cardio. The only people who can lose lots of weight through cardio alone are athletes.

It's not going to happen by 6, I'm resetting the treadmill and will go for 5250 by 12 PM tomorrow.

Can we see a picture of your body? Not nude or anything, I would just like to see how thin and toned you are.

I don't remember if I answered, but damn, I never exercise. Like, ever.

Don't know how much calories I burned most in one session (since I'm not a hamster, running in a giant wheel with fansy tech stuff to tell me what I'm doing)...
But last year, I got injured sometimes before summer started, and I missed riding insanely much...
When I got fit I went to my vert ramp and it was a 6 hours session, it was sunny, around 30ish degrees Celsius and I lost 3 kg that day (not water only, I drunk a bit over 4 liters of water that session).

So yeah, I came home, ate a huge bowl of cereals with bananas, and the day after, I had 2.5 kg less than before the session...
