Topic: HOW TO MAKE A BETTER PHILLY STEAK AND CHEESE SANDWICH
HaikerensGuide !0VegJ9Jl.Q started this discussion 14 years ago #21,034 1. Add some fucking vegetables to the sandwich. Grilled onions and peppers will work nicely, adding much-needed crunch and flavor.
2. NEVER use that god-awful cheese-from-a-can bullshit. Use provolone cheese.
3. "pat" the cooked steak slices with a paper towel to remove excess fat.
Goddamn does it taste good after improvement. (Edited 4 minutes later.)

Yeah, I know. very entry-level. But it's good and cheap.

Many "genuine" philly steak and cheese sandwiches use it as the cheese.

*peppers
Specifically, green peppers.
