Topic: Why are flying insects so fucking stupid?

Alcoholic Green !OAFoAfh8j. started this discussion 14 years ago #21,017

I leave my window open when it's hot. As you'd expect, the stray fly, wasp, bee, moth etc, flies in. They want to get out. Ok. I'll open the window a bit wider. 10 minutes later, I check back, they're banging themselves into the glass. I try to move them out with paper or paper and cup; they still fly back in. Eventually I think; 'Fuck it, Darwinism!'. I get out my fly spray and kill them. JUST GO OUT THE SIDES OR BOTTOM OF THE WINDOW, YOU STUPID FLYER!

They have tiny brains.

But I can emphasise with you. The damn things will buzz around in my conservatory until they die if so much as one window is open.

Bugs are made to be killed. Seriously, it's the reason they breed in such large numbers. They are made to be killed by stupidity, winters and mammals.

Do the fucking deed.

I get really mad every time someone kills something in front of me, even insects. Is that weird?

Remember Hindus consider insects just the rebirth of a former citizen on the road to nirvana (taking the long road to get there) Quick death may allow that road to be more shorter.

Yes. Bugs are shitty, evil things that deserve a swift death.

Could be one of your dead relatives. Ponder the Philosophy of such. (Wood make a great PhD thesis)
To swat or not to swat - that is the question.

Or, as an alternative to superstition, it could be a competing lifeform capable of spreading disease and suffering.

I propose a gift of EEE infested Mosquitos for all bug lovers.
