Topic: Did Affirmative Action play a role in James Holmes going crazy?

Anonymous A started this discussion 14 years ago #21,012

I read he was unable to find a job for an entire year. During the state of the economy is must have been extremely stressful.
Now if James Holmes had been a woman or Black I strongly believe would have found a job through a quota. It's almost impossible not to get hired.

Thoughts?

> Implying there are African Americans with doctorates like Holmes.

And I am being serious. This guy was just fucked in the head, there is and never will be a justification for what he did.

Also, I agree with this. Unemployment rate in the US is more or less 8%, whereas black people have a rate of 20% and in some states up to 49%.

But if he had a mental disorder, he wouldn't have been able to see all possible consequences for the actions he was about to take, would he?

My money is still on mounting student loans as a possible trigger.

He should've just lived off his loans and fled to Switzerland.

What really drove him crazy was teachers indoctrinating him into a lie. I'm sure he was told if he studied hard, lived as a nerd, endured bullying, cruelty and not getting laid, than one day it would all be worth it.

Of course, that day of reconciliation never came.

Oh man. So you're saying a medical professional, presumably a carrier of malpractice insurance, was in position to intervene and potentially save many lives. Bet the lawyers are loving that.
