Also, if you started in London at 12am and then travelled West fast enough to reach the next meridian in exactly one hour, the time would tick from 00:59 to 00:00. If you didn't let up, you would eventually land in London 24 hours later, but never having left the hours of 00:00 - 00:59, which means that you travelled the world in one night.

Circumference of the earth = ~25,000 miles
To cover that in 24 hours you would have to travel at a speed of a little more than 1,000 miles per hour for 24 consecutive hours. So yes it's possible, but just not something you can do easily.

Space shuttle the same. Kathryn orbit means, around the earth 15.7 times a day.
