I think they did a great job with the Extended Cut. Filled in all the holes and provided some closure as well as a look at what happens to everything afterwards.

The endings do have different consequences now. Maybe not hugely different, but that's understandable given the facts that their time was limited and they were offering it for free. Regardless, it's a vast improvement over the original endings.

Not with EA in charge it won't be. I remember one of the developers saying something about a prequel, though, so maybe that'll happen instead of a sequel.
