The fritos pie is only rivaled by sloppy joes. And yes, sloppy joe hotdogs are as good as they sound. But the lacking of fritos is clearly detrimental to its overall appeal.

Have a Corn story. First business trip ever. (more then 10 miles) From West coast to Wisconsin to fix some brand new radio station electronics. Transmitter and studio surrounded by corn fields. Station has a full kitchen and I said damn all that fresh corn. Management said You are free to go out to field and pick all you want They brewed up a pot of water and I picked the corn.
Cooked it up and and and and - It was Pig feed corn. Super high in starch and super low in sugar. All had a laugh on me.

yeah, so they're not actually all that good. they used chili-cheese fritos where regular fritos would've been better.
they'll never make fritos pie hot dogs like they used to in elementary school.
And you can't hardly find a good square of pizza with nacho cheese on it anymore either.
those cafeteria ladies couldn't fry a hamburger to save their lives (they were like bricks) but their Taco Salad would knock your socks off.
the alternative was chips and candy from a vending machine. and cokes.
