Got a couple of easy ryder plants growing in my back yard, I only germinated them 1 week ago and already we have 4 tiny leaves on each plant. In a couple of weeks they will begin flowering :)

Transplant, adjust the PH properly, and feed it fertilizer or it'll be shit. If the PH is off you'll probably just kill them. I found that running tap water through a carbon filter fixed the PH (which around these parts was too acidic).
Also if you're using prefertilized potting soil then you want to wait 2 weeks before adding any additional fertilizer, you'll burn the plants up if you use too much.
Oh, and make sure that the soil is dry before you water it, otherwise you'll get root fungus if the soil stays damp too long.

I've grown weed successfully many times with regular compost and tap water. I'm not saying you won't get better results by doing all that other bullshit, but it definitely isn't necessary. It's a weed.

Are you using lighting or growing outdoors? If you're using flourescent you want the light source very close to the leaves, like 1", and adjust the height as the plant grows.
Otherwise the plant will stretch out and be long and thin with spindly branches. Basically looking like charlie brown's chistmas tree. This is impprtant during vegetative growth (bout 2 months.)
If you give it appropriate lighting it'll be big, fat and bushy.
