Topic: Is there anything from American cuisine that Europeans actually praise?

Kathryn !TGirlYJKXM started this discussion 14 years ago #20,405

Seems like there's nothing that they wouldn't criticize.

my european friends that visit love the breakfast here.
they indulge on pancakes and waffles and the like, and say that back home breakfast is more snackish, like
a biscuit and coffee. but personally i find german and italian breakfasts to be better (though both markedly distinct.)

yup, they sure do. but everyday they woke up to the smell of bacon, eggs, sausage, coffee, pancakes, biscuits and hashbrowns. of course when we didn't have people over our breakfasts were cereal and whatever, lol.
I think they just liked the way we did mornings and did big breakfasts for them.

edit: Also, as an american speaking for europeans, they also love anything pickled.

True. Some people like liver piled high with anchovies and fried crickets. You're entitled to bad taste. But it was food for poor people and slaves. That is fucking truth and it works by being an accurate statement according to objective motherfucking reality.

Which means poor people and slaves. So we agree.

I said you're free to have bad taste. What more do you want, pleb?

ah, but i do not have bad taste, even if said taste is also free; though, if you want the freebad taste you can have it, i dont judge.

We don't eat them for breakfast. Toast or cereals are common, and I used to eat a yoghurt before leaving. But now I just drink a cup of tea. Traditional breakfasts in UK are either English Breakfast or the Continental breakfast. English breakfast is like what @330,759 (squeegee !firstkPE1Q) (except with more/different stuff) but nobody ever makes it for themselves because it takes ages. I have it sometimes in a cafe if I am hungry. Continental breakfast is like cheese, cold meat, bread rolls, pastries and orange juice.

Also, I like pickled things.
