I know very little about stock markets, but it interests me and I am thinking about learning before investing some money I can afford to lose. How difficult is it to make money, realistically for a novice?

Not easy because it takes a lot of book larning first. Read a couple of books and then first try this on paper only. See how you do and play it like a game at home for a while.

Tricky tricky & you know it. promisor could revoke offer for the contract at any point prior to the promisee's complete performance. Revoke without any remedy for the promisee. Protections? Yea tell me about it. Tricky protections may help but lots of traps.
