Balthier and Fran did have pretty good story arcs. Didn't expect Balthier to have been a judge. Ultimately FFXII takes place in a better universe. Ivalice is my favorite setting amongst all the Final Fantasy games. Vaan was a little bit annoying, but you give him the Zodiac Spear and let him tear monsters a new one. Tidus just cries about his dad all game and the last boss is a bust.

I don't 100% agree. My gal pal likes to watch me play games and the better the story the more she lets me play as she gets into it too. It's kind of a win win.

Vaan's abs bugged the hell outta me, and the way he walked was pretty queer too. Tidus was kind of whiny but I liked him. I never used Vaan, he was level 18 when I beat XII. Tidus is more agile though, so I pick him.
