1950's: disneyland opens in 1955, people care
1960's: walt disney dies in 1966 due to cancer, people care
1970's: nobody cares about disney anymore
1980's: eisner
mid 1990's: disney renaissance is in full swing, good times
1998-1999: disney fucks up a thousand different theme park attractions in a greedy attempt to stay trendy, mistake
early 2000's: about the same as the late 90's, disney still wants to be hip and trendy
mid 2000's: disney realizes they will never be hip and trendy, factory settings are reinstated. Bob iger replaces eisner
meanwhile everything is starting to be evened out by pixar in a weird plastic way.

the legend is actually that his cryogenically frozen head is stored beneath sleeping beauty castle, but he was cremated. I say this not because I don't want to believe the legend (I do lol) but he really was just turned to ashes, He has a very nice grave at forest lawn cemetery here in LA and I've visited it.
