The practicality seems far-fetched as much as geneticists and researchers would like a break through to happen. Most tend to have the same concept: reactive telomerase activity and lengthen telomeres along with hTERT but there's little in the way to re-invigorate enzyme production because human DNA signals a natural stopping point after some time. I remembered a few years ago a conversation I had with a colleague about how this could be a possibility in the future and he suggested using jellyfish genes because of their regenerative abilities but trying to incorporate this into a human being isn't really possible given modern genetic engineering techniques. However, at least people are brainstorming. If someone figured out how to accomplish such they would make so much money lol.
