Well I had some trouble finding a job so I decided to advertise computer repair services. Now I've got work and enough income to cover the bills, but I'm forced to deal with an ignorant public day in and day out.
What's worse. It takes more time than I realized it would, so it's tough to dedicate to looking for work. Argh. I can't imagine doing this forever.

Oh man, you were just begging for trouble with this idea. You haven't even gotten to the worst part of it yet. The next time something goes wrong with a computer you fixed, they're going to call you up swearing that their computer is broken again because you did something wrong, and they want it fixed again for free. That's the biggest problem with computer services.

Such is why I prefer to do complete reloads if I can.

They will still blame you for everything that goes wrong after you touch their computer.

If there's a demand for it, fine. It's a good way to get under-the-table money over the summer and get a break from the same old indoor work, but as a job experience, or a line of work to get into, no. Most employers don't give a shit that you mowed lawns over the summer. Unless you plan on starting your own legitimate professional landscaping company. I know people who make so much money in landscaping it's practically criminal (and it often is criminal with the hiring of illegal immigrants and all).
