ADD = not being able to sit still for long periods of time doing something one doesn't enjoy, mainly school.

I have it and it keeps me from doing things I actually like too. My technology fixation is due in part to my need for constant stimuli to keep focused.

Sounds like ADD is good to have in your case.

I sometimes think I may have a touch of ADD/ADHD as sometimes I lose focus on things and I am bad at multitasking too.

I have it. I wasn't diagnosed with it until my college years, but looking back there were lots of signs that I had it, going all the way back to first grade. The problem is that I had parents and teachers who refused to accept that I had a real medical problem and that I just needed to learn to focus. Some kids have the opposite problem, where parents and teachers just want to shove whatever pills necessary down their throat to make them behave.
@322,023 (HaikerensGuide !0VegJ9Jl.Q)
That is not what ADD/ADHD is, and that's part of the reason for the above problem. There are a lot of kids who do not have ADHD but have behavioral problems and are misdiagnosed as having ADHD because parents and teachers just want them to sit down and shut up. Meanwhile, people like me who have real problems focusing and staying on task, but do not act out in school, slip through the cracks and don't get diagnosed because we're not creating a problem for the teachers and other students. The squeaky wheel gets the oil.
