1988 Volvo 240 DL, built in Sweden in September 1987
140k original miles.
$2800
This car had one owner and it was very well cared for. Must've been owned by an older person who treated it with respect. -I will too.
It's running strong, A/C even still works. The paint even looks new. The whole car is in spectacular condition.
I bought this from a gentleman named Robin in Glendale, CA who specializes in the servicing of Volvo's and Saabs. He has known my stepdad for over 20 years as a customer and friend, and as a result, I have a trustworthy mechanic who knows this machine inside and out.
I really feel like I bought the right car, Fora. It's old, but it reflects my hipsterness well, and it won't let me down as long as I treat it with respect and care.

-me talking to my stepdad and deciding. There were a couple other older Volvos for sale but this was the best choice.

That would be cool, but the Los Angeles public transit system doesn't work the same way as other cities because we're so insanely spread out. You really do need a car or your life will be miserable.

Just wait for Beverly Hills High to approve the subway extension. Then one day that subway go under the Santa Monica Mountains around Griffith park, all the way to your house.
