Sounds and looks fucking boring. I like the popping surfaces, reflections, and gradients.

I don't want an OS that looks like it's 10+ years old. The updated aesthetics of Vista and Windows 7 were the best things they had going for them. People hated the way they functioned and having to re-learn how to use the OS. What people want is an OS that looks like 7 but functions like XP. This is the exact opposite and a step in the wrong direction. In that picture, there isn't even a start button. And they say they're not worried about "learnability."

I get that they're gearing it for tablets, but that's no reason to bland it down for people who still enjoy full-powered desktops.
