I had acute bronchitis when I was a child and I also have asthma.
I am a regular smoker so trust me when I tell you, you can smoke.

It might be good to practice smoking some tobacco first. I know that might be a bit hard assuming you're under age.
I personally find that weed has a very strong smell and I find it hard sometimes to take a good tear/drag/pull.
Try and take small pulls (inhale small amounts) don't try to go all out first time, you'll get blasted.

I don't might people coughing when they first start smoking (I often cough when I smoke weed), the most embarrassing thing about first time smokers is that they don't inhale. It's also really infuriating, what is the point is buying weed/tabacco then? You're basically doing it trying to be cool.

yes, after you draw in a nice drag and go to inhale pucker your lips like you're going to whistle and then draw in air very slowly as you inhale. I find that this can stop you from coughing all together when you normally would.
in other words if you hit it hard and fast, you'll cough.

You're going to cough, and that's fine! You actually get higher if you cough alot because it ruptures a few blood vessles in your throat, allowing thc to get into your system better. In addition, the contractions of the muscles will cause your blood to flow faster, also causing the thc to reach your brain quicker.

The first time you smoke weed, especially if you don't smoke cigarettes like me, your throat will lose its virginity. Literally. I coughed like a MOTHERFUCKER. But trust me, it gets much much better, so don't let it discourage you! I was a pussy and I didn't smoke anything until sophomore year in high school. So, when I first smoked, I coughed baddddd. But if I can do it, you can do it. Also, be prepared for people to laugh at you and make fun of you for it, but everyone goes through it, really. And, truthfully, they don't really mind. Most stoners get bored of smoking by themselves/with the same group all the time and love smoking with new people.

Also, enjoy your first couple times while they last. Tolerance is a cunt.

I don't ever really cough when I smoke weed except if it's some really good bud and I haven't smoked in a while.

This. MAKE SURE YOU INHALE. I only inhaled a little bit the first time, but at least I can say I still did lol. That's why lots of people like to spread the myth that you don't get high the first time you smoke, when reality it's just a bad case of not_doin_it_rite.jpg.

Also it would probably do you good to look up how to smoke with a spoon pipe with a carb, since these are generally the most common smoking devices if you aren't rolling it. I only learned how to hit a bowl on my sixth time smoking, lol.

Another tip: DON'T TORCH THE ENTIRE BOWL WHEN YOU LIGHT IT. You'll a) not be able to handle all of it and it will go to waste; b) burn almost all of the weed so no one else will get a good hit; c) since it's your first time, you'll probably cough really badly, possibly blowing all of the weed out of the bowl (note: this is one of the hugest no-no's when smoking - if you do this more than once - and once is still bad - no one will want to smoke with you ever again. Be careful to never blow into the pipe, only inhale through it). You'll do 2-3 of these things if you torch the bowl, and all of them will get your friends mad at you.

One last tip for lighting the bowl: hold the lighter at an angle. The flame (assuming there is no wind) will go straight up however you hold it. If you hold it at the instinctual position, the flame will go right into your thumb and you will get burnt and feelsbadman.jpg. If you turn it to the side and hold the flame over the bowl, while gently inhaling, you will be able to successfully light the bowl (preferably from the corner!).

Everything I've posted here is pretty much what I wish people told me when I started smoking. I can only hope that you read my tl;dr and that it will help you. Good luck my friend, and enjoy the ride.

Wots with all the weird advice? Why not just ask for a little weed - pick up some of that store bought chocoholic cookie dough - add the weed and bake and eat and get high. Takes a little longer to get you there but keeps going & going longer (my experience)

Oh the spelling? Not great with that and my goof & FF's spell check turned it into a more fun way.

I abhor the coughing aspect of smoking weed. You however are correct re the need to be a part of the Social
