Oh they're implying that the police are racist because of those figures. Typical Guardian.
I can see how it looks on the surface, but police usually only stop people when they have reason to believe that they'll find something, since they have to fill out a load of paperwork afterwards. I guess you could pin it down to unconscious racism or whatever, but I don't think that the police are racists just because of these figures.

It is a skewed view. Chavs have zero gun experience. It will be different if you assume the Chavs know as much of guns as the ghetto kids and the playing field will be even. Now it's just a bunch of drunk white kids with bad haircuts and pitt bulls vs. automatic machine guns.
