For equal weight Leeks make you more Obese then Onions!

USDA nutrition database, 100 g of raw onion contains 40 calories

USDA nutrition database, 100 g of raw leek contains 61 calories

One potential advantage of onions over leeks arises from the onion's flavor, which is typically stronger than that of a leek. You may eat less onion, by weight, in a meal because of its stronger flavor. Onions are lower in sodium than leeks, with 4 mg of sodium in every 100 g of onion but 20 mg of sodium in every 100 g of leeks.

Based on this Leeks are inferior to Onions.

You fail.

The Roman upper class thought that Leeks were superior to onions and garlic, which they felt were for the poor. Nero felt that eating Leeks improved his singing voice and so ate plates of them daily. History proves that the Roman empire collapsed for several reasons.

1: They stank so much, neighboring cultures would no longer trade with them.

2: Leeks have a poor shelf life compared to Onions. Leeks Rot. This contributed to the Fall of the Roman Empire.

The story associating Leeks with Wales has it that Welsh soldiers were getting ready to fight the Saxons in 640 AD. So that the Welsh wouldn't whack each other in the heat of battle, they stuck Leeks on their hats. The story, though apparently comes to us from the Saxons whose word for leek -- leac -- also applied to onions and garlic. So far all we know, the Welsh could actually have had big onions on their heads.

Result of this was that the Saxons were defeated by the Welsh, which led to the British Empire.

British with Leek power overtook the world with colonialism-imperialism, & raped India, South Africa, Ireland & the Falklands.

Philosophers tend to avoid leeks because they like watertight logical systems.

The difference between fact and opinion. A fact is something that is empirically true & supported by evidence,

Opinion is a belief that may or may not be backed up with some type of evidence- A subjective statement - result of an emotion - interpretation of a fact.

Well that certainly sounds plausible. Geese are the most intellectual species out of all the Antidae family. I will go to chinatown for some goose liver and get back to you on this ASAP.

Geese can be used to clean chimneys by either pushing down the chimney and then letting them flap out of the bottom, or putting them at the bottom and they fly out of the top. They're pretty cool.

French love Onions - Garlic - Leeks.

Few Cajun dishes sans Onions-Garlic except for Bread pudding.

And of course a few people are allergic to Allium cepa.
