One movie that I'd like to recommend is a documentary style, horror film called Lake Mungo. It was excellent and not a jump out and scare or gore flick.

Speaking of movies, OP you should watch God Bless America. It's not an amazing movie, but I liked the concept and enjoyed most of it. Check it out.

Not particularly, I just enjoy well made documentaries. A good documentary takes a subject you knew little or nothing about and makes it interesting, sometimes the subject can be something you didn't find interesting in the first place.
