The best way to understand it is to stop taking /r9k/ seriously.

Most people who so much as use the words take them too seriously.

Everyone goes beta for something. It's evolutionary hardwired. These guys speak as if it's permanent condition when it's really a relative concept.

Everyone takes the alpha/beta thing too seriously. Humans have evolved differently from other apes like chimpanzees that have a strict alpha/beta hierarchy, so you can't apply it to humans in the same way. It's OK to loosely use the terms to describe a given social situation, but not to describe people in general.

Oh I'd say the people who worship the invisible dudes know full well their God is actually death. That's just a hunch given the historically religious nature of warfare.

I'm not sure if they do. It certainly seems to give them comfort, either way.

> They also used the term gamma. > > This feels weird to me.
Gamma radiation is something I work with on a daily basis. Gamma rays are mean mean very mean to IC's. I keep track of this damage. Never trust Gamma, but keep looking out for it. Gamma radiation breaks DNA molecules, which is not good for me or you.

Yes, but you need specify what more you want.
AND It may take me some time to get back to your needs. Work just demanded that I take a look at a circuit in (lets call it a small robot) that has been hit HARD by Gamma as well as X-Rays recently.
So will be busy for a hour or so. $$ Trumps net play.

So in the context of personality types. What would a gamma person be like?

Yo momma was a pussy who used to run away from cougars and pumas and shit. If she hadn't you wouldn't even born. Survival of the fittest.

This seems like kind of a rip off of Merton's Social Structure and Anomie, written in the 40's or some shit. Only he used the following terminology: Innovator, Conformist, Ritualist, Retreatist and Rebel.

> Gamma
Nope.
Alpha, Beta, Omega.
Social interaction is game, you see?
Alphas play it well.
Betas play it badly.
Omegas simply say "nope" and don't play, or rather, play by their own rules.

Isn't this commonly associated with alphas?

Alpha, beta, gamma, omega, terms like this are all relative. To the normal person I'm beta as fuck, but in my group of friends I'm alpha as all fucking hell. Being one out of 3 guys in the group of ~15 people helps though.

No. Alphas make the rules, so typically they have no problem following them. Alphas who progress into Omegas will develop a God complex, thinking power means the rules don't apply to them.
Even God himself says, "I am the Alpha and the Omega."
