There's certainly been more focus on the brony demographic. Stuff like the welovefine shirts and that white Celestia were because of bronies. I wouldn't say that they're focusing on bronies more than their core demographic though. The bulk of it is still aimed at them.
But still, why shouldn't they market towards bronies? They have every reason to do so. Bronies generally have quite a bit of money and are dedicated fans. It's a smart move to release stuff just for them.

I doubt that'll happen, and it would probably be a bad thing if it did. MLP is still primarily aimed at kids. And if that changed then the show might not be the same anymore.
