What does that have to do with independence though or perhaps I should have said self-independence?

I also did a search on Google for "fear of independence" and it brought up a Wikipedia article for Cinderella complex.
However, the way the article describes it. It appears this only applies for females. What is the term for males?

No doubt a baby bird has fear of diving out of the nest. A good fear to have when young.

Just because you have a fear does not mean it reaches the level of a phobia. Tis a cruel world out there so fear is a safe thing to have for survival.

Term is tagged by the Greed God of the same name. What does this have to do with fear of becoming independent? We all die one day; Independent or dependent or all measures in between.

@previous (C)

I fear interdependence. It's gonna bring about the collapse of society.
