While it looks really cool and I doubt there are many ways they could go wrong with the game since SSBB has pretty much demonstrated bugs and any other problems with controls, I think the biggest issue will be on who will be on the roster. From the first look that were in those video, PaRappa, that clown from Twisted Metal, Fat Princess, Kratos, among others. Obviously they won't bother using any of the Final Fantasy characters since Dissidia pretty much cornered that market, and that Solid Snake won't be feature since Nintendo acquired him for their title. That really sucks. It would be cool if they cool port another Metal Gear character or to a lesser extent Syphon Filter or Splinter Cell... I mean, who else could they get for this? Darth Vader? Crash Bandicoot? Toro? While there are a lot of possibilities I get a feeling they're going to include a bunch of characters nobody really gives a shit about.

did anyone buy ssbb for the characters?

Well people have always known most of the characters SSBB included. They have long-standing histories from much older franchises so that gives them a broader fan appeal. Not as many know who PaRappa the Rapper or Fat Princess are.

That's actually pretty cool. It'll probably do quite well.
Now if only Microsoft would do something similar...

A car from Gran Turismo.

You're being silly on purpose. But now that I'm thinking more about it it would be cool if they got Niko Bellic or Claude Speed or CJ (somebody from GTA) as a fighter. Or even better, John Marston.

Oh, that or Nathan Drake. The point I was trying to make earlier is that most of the Sony exclusive characters are from the 7th generation (that are noticeable) whereas Nintendo has a rather rich history to pull from. I mean, who really wants to play a SSBB clone with PaRappa the Rapper and a bunch of other nobodies? It just doesn't have much of a fan marketability if you ask me.

Even in some of the fan videos I've seen talking about it most of the reviewers don't know some of the characters, referring to one of them as "that Killzone guy". I doubt many people know who Sweet Tooth (from Twisted Metal) are aware of his name until it's explained to them.

I fucking love PaRappa the Rapper.

Why? His character was so terribly one-dimensional although that was pretty much intended. What moves would his character have anyway?

I'm sorry. I'll try to be serious business.
@315,857 (B)
Yeah, I thought that too. They're going to be more reliant on third-party characters for this than Nintendo are. But seeing Niko or somebody like that in there would feel out of place somehow. Characters like that are well-known to be multi-platform.

You motherfucking troll, posting as anonymous then going all namefag on me.
Anyway, the great thing about SSBB is that it incorporated both old and new, well known and not so well known. Most people weren't familiar with Game and Watch and he became one of the better characters in that game, which was so great if you ask me. It gave them a lot of artistic licence to play around with how they wanted so they could just really amp up on all of the fanatic hype. It pretty much had something for everybody and its infinite replay value just made it all the sweeter. For this game though... I mean, they'll really have to find something good to keep people interested. While some of those old PS1 title characters could be cool, I really don't think I'd have much of an interest in playing for long with a bunch of boring nobodies since this IS a pretty obvious copy of the SSBB style, in the exact same way that Sonic Shuffle was a bad rip off of Mario Party for Dreamcast, if you get what I'm trying to say. I don't see how anyone at this point could be out of place since we're already dealing with a motley crew of random old and new characters in the game so far. I mean, how bad could it honestly be? The only thing that would be diminutive to Niko is the fact that he's very human so any kind of power-ups or speed stuff that exceeds imagination does seem extremely hokey in comparison to some of the cartoonish abilities of other characters like Kratos.

I kept a bunch of shitty ringtones that I ripped from films, games, etc. for such purposes. All of my 'kinda dumb' friends would get listed with 'If I Only Had A Brain' from the Wizard of Oz. I think I amuse myself too much easily. :o
Scroll down through some of the recent comments, I laughed.

I do the same shit. Honestly all that matters is if I make myself laugh and keep myself happy. I'll say and think stupid shit for my own amusement. Lol.

I think it'd look better if it was more actual Sony-exclusive characters than whoever they could get. One or two non-Sony character wouldn't hurt, though. Sonic and Snake worked in Brawl. Still, it depends on what they can get I guess.
@315,866 (B)
Ha, I knew there'd be Chris Chan references. He's soiled that song forever.
