I'm not hosting anontalk or something 'controversial' I just need normal webhosting.

I just noticed one of my websites has just moved above a competing site in a google search for a fairly competitive keyword. The first time it has ever overtaken them. Said site is shitty and was only popular because it had 0 competition on the web before. I am beginning to suspect they got butthurt and DDoS'd me actually... I think they are also making fake negative ratings for my stuff elsewhere as well.

HostGator

www.hostgator.com

Several friends have used this for a number of years and are happy with customer service & over all quality.

Its a mean competitive environment for inexpensive web hosting. Godaddy the monster of monsters is infamous for crappy service and always trying to get the customer to add add add "stuff"
