It is a pizza when it has all the necessary ingredients (bread, sauce and cheese). At that point, it is an uncooked pizza, and once it goes into the oven and comes out cooked properly, it is a cooked pizza.
Here's an interesting followup: Bruschetta pizza can be made without any sauce or cheese. Is it still proper to call it a "pizza"? I sense a new and exciting field of philosophy emerging: The Philosophy of Pizza (which seems to confirm Schwitzgebel's view that for any X there is a Philosophy of X).

You should make this your thesis by juxtaposition of Schrödinger's cat.

Nice parallel.
I happen to personally believe a pizza is made 2 weeks before the wheat in the dough is planted.

I'm not exactly sure how that would work, plus I am already locked into my thesis topic on the Cosmological argument. Alexander Pruss' version possibly, but my adviser is pushing for me to do the Kalam so I don't know yet.

It becomes a pizza the moment it is identifiable as such.
