The scientist basically said that "I've been to Africa country and seen people starving and genetically engineered plants will end world hunger." She was trying to justify genetic engineering experiments gone horribly wrong to MacGyver.Now MacGyver is a genius and I think he'd realize that if you pump more food at people, they would continue to multiply in number until starvation happens again. She should've been working to improve birth control.
