Topic: Anyone else notice how hard it is to fill up on hard-boiled eggs?

I can eat eggs cooked any other way and I'll be full after 2 or 3 eggs, but for some reason I can 6 hard-boiled eggs and still feel hungry. Do you think it has something to do with the grease in fried eggs?

Do you also eat the whites when you hard boil them?

Yes. I always eat the whole egg. Usually with salt or Old Bay.

I don't really eat eggs unless they're over medium and even one seems a bit much.

That's what I mean. Eggs usually fill me up. Fried eggs do, anyway, but I can eat hard-boiled eggs like they're potato chips.

Web says restaurant omelets typical contain 6 eggs - HOWEVER
One Egg
15 grams of fat
4.8 grams of saturated fat
636 milligrams of cholesterol
Do the math.
Two hard boiled eggs over a bed of lettuce/salad seems a smarter way to fill the stomach.

But I'm not comparing one 6-egg omelet to 2 hard-boiled eggs. I'm talking about 2 fried eggs vs 2 hard-boiled eggs. My best guess is the grease in fried eggs fills you up quicker.

My guess and its only a guess is that...Two fried eggs or for that matter poached which is how I usually do mine unless I am lazy and just scramble...They both are more on the liquid like state. Hard Boil and I would think they are more bulky. The opposite of your experience on needing more for a full feel. Have not eaten 6 hard boiled eggs since I was a kid at Easter.

Here ya go. Eyes glued to 8 Sun work station screens looking at 48+ Satellites to see if I can spot any Solar Flare damage from Humongous Sun eruption and its tyme to hit the surf again for a couple of hours. Life is too short to sit here looking at Sun damage possibilities when I can get out in the Sun and let the Surf (kinda not 2great @momento) do what Surf does. Board is waxed and ready to roll.

If you cook eggs in tea, the whites become brown and taste like tea.

it's because they have no fiber or bulk.

It's because hard boiled eggs are disgusting OP. They're what you eat in prison to deter others from taking advantage of your poop shoot.
