We're not quite as dead as ghoul and Tinychan. Oldest front-page bump here is 2 days, while the other two have 3 day old bumps on the front page. Quality is subjective, obviously, but MC still has a decent amount of activity considering how old the BBS scene is now.
Not trying to incite an argument here, just saying that MC is comparatively active.

Stats do not lie. Top of the page of TC to bottom has 4 full days vs 1 day for MC. 4:1 Ratio.
Add that to current activity. TC 2 topics active with minimal views and replies compared to 6 topics and compare the visits.
