Topic: Need to stop hedgehogs

Anonymous A started this discussion 14 years ago #18,786

I need to stop hedgehogs from climbing over my damn fence and gaining access to my property. My dog always finds hedgehogs and then he's outside for about 3-4 hours with the fucking thing in his mouth. He usually kills it. These things keep climbing over the fucking fence and I'm tired of them trespassing. What is the best way to stop them climbing over? There has to be some sort of spike strip I can attach to the top of the fence.

Someone help me I am tired of going outside at 4AM throwing hedgehogs over the fence with a shovel I wish they would all fuck off!!

Tell the hedgehogs to zap to the extreme in the opposite direction of your fence, unless they are naturally directed towards homos then you may have a serious problem.

build hundreds of tiny Burmese tiger pits with a garden trowel and tooth picks outside your fence.
use trip wires to spring complicated tree felling traps, or catapults or slingshots.
buy a bunch of fireworks and make landmines out of m-80s.
try and have fun with it.

These ideas are needlessly dangerous and stupid. Do you think before you open your mouth?

@OP
Do you have a garden? Hedgehogs love gardens. Get rid of it.

Put some gold rings around your fence.

Wow. Everyone else avoided this, why not you?

Also, that would attract more hedgehogs, not less. Try harder.

Wouldn't they just loop around the fence to collect the rings and go back out of the yard though?

Some would, I imagine, but hedgehogs are already entering the yard for a reason.

Good point. You think maybe OP's dog is a level boss or something?

No. I think it's a dog. Sonic the Hedgehog is a video game and animated tv show.

Put pickles on your fence. Hedgehogs hate pickles. Unless they're homos, in which case the pickles will attract them.

Put an angled strip on your fence like a climbing overhang.

you could try scattering jewls around the neighbors houses. hedgehogs apparently love the ice.

oh, but make sure there radioactive first, they tend to hang with foxes that have radiation-seeking equipment

bitches hedgehogs love radiation.
