How about some more info. What are you installing it on? Yes I know its windows based but what is the hardware and what media are you using for the program?

I am installing it on my hard drive with around 100gb of free space left and it is a digital download from Gamefly. What else info could be of use? Oh it's also 64bit Windows 7

A Quick guess is that a necessary registry file that should exist "does" but ended up installed in the wrong directory. If that is the case, it will require a hands on guru to correct that error. ( Can be done via the web ) You can save money by looking up how to run a log file during the install process so that you have ALL the details for the guru.

Now before you take that step try this. Start up the computer in safe mode and try installing again.

The DVD's are from a legit source? Can you exchange them for a fresh copy?

i just ran a registry clean with ccleaner and tried to install the game again in safe mode but it didn't change anything.

ccleaner is just super but it will not correct a misplaced registry file. This by the way, is the most common reason for not being able to install a program, but is a bitch to correct because YOU have to be competent to deal with a registry editor to correct the problem.

So YOU need tech support and there is no shame for such. I R a Hardware engineer not a software engineer and often use someone in a IT dept to help me out with a glitch. I notice over all that adding up all the help ends in IT doing a registry edit.

Now you can go to web sites that will show you how to run a log file and then post it and lots of people around to look at it and offer help. THIS takes time and you may have to try more then one site, to find someone available. The install log file is KEY

Since its a game for fun .....Try web sites for support for free first. You have time.

PS: You may still decide to stay OUT of the Registry - However that single step is perhaps $35 by a gure because you will have provided all the necessary background work in advance. Its time vs money available.

A set of discs might do the trick. The disc's may contain the necessary registry file(s) or at the failure point the disc will ask you to install the original Win 7 OP disc. Digital downloads often do not include those steps.

Get refund on the Digital copy - exchange for Discs. My experience is that the Set of Discs is always more better.
