Asshole in front of me slans on his breaks because asshole in front of him didn't want to wait in traffic and tried to sneak up. I swerve to avoid him and swipe someone (I panicked I didn't want to slam into the guy in front of me).
Ice been in three accident in a year with this cad -- all seemingly my fault.

How would that be anyone else's fault but jump's? You should always leave enough room to stop, regardless of how fast the person in front of you might brake.

I was way behind the car in front of me, not even recommended distance but further.
They started to slow, so I braked and then they were stopped. I didn't see the car ahead of them so I didn't know it was stopped. It was like slowing down then what the fuck.
I don't even know how it happened. I wasn't speeding or tailgating. I was just on autopilot on my way home from work. When the cop asked me what happened I didn't even know what to say. He asked how far back I was and I did t even know how to quanitify it.
Who the fuck stops on a highway. Thinking back I can't understand why I wasn't able to stop. It doesn't make sense. I saw breaking and they were stopped. It's fucking with me. Maybe my medication has fucked me. I haven't ever been in an accident until I got this car an started taking meds.

I've had a very similar situation, actually.
Some psychotic troll in an F-150 misses his exit so he slams to a stop from 70 mph, as do I and the guy in-between me and him. I stopped maybe 3 feet to contact and the jeep behind me has to fly into the median to miss me.
This truck bugs out to the exit before I could get a look at him but I hope the guy between us was able to.
