Hong Kong is an autonomous region of China, and so it has completely different laws. They don't even use the same currency, drive on the same side of the road, speak the same language (pretty much), or have many other things in common.

We have a socialized insurance industry like several other countries, a socialized military like every other country (except Libya at the moment), and socialized schools like every other country.
