I never know what to do in a disney store. they have like... nothing for people who are old enough to write in cursive.

I never go into Disney stores though. It's not like Disneyland where, when you know where to go, there are an endless array of things to do as an adult.

@previous (Falco !PZmcClOUDk)
well what can you do in a store that sells merchandise? you look at it, pick it up, play with it, put it back, etc. that or if they have animatronic shit you interact with those or stare blankly at the tv's they have... actually now with disney channel they probably play a bunch of obnoxious crap instead of those classic films like montages from fantasia

Nepotism. They have 5 managers who only get the position because of who they know, but instead of cutting the pork, they cut the workers' hours to protect their phony balogna jobs.

Where does he work? It's only nepotism if it's not privately owned

Broseph !!fxnDb+Ve4 replied with this 14 years ago, 4 minutes later, 41 minutes after the original post[^] [v] #308,177

@previous (E)
No, you're mixing up nepotism with cronyism. Or maybe I'm mixing up the two. Either way you get the idea.

Whether it's privately owned or not it's not ethical to promote someone because they're you're friend or relative rather than on merit. Might be legal, still not right. I'm aware that everyone does it anyway.

Fuck your dumb. No wonder cunt hates you.

It's fucking private property, you have no right to job, there is no ethical to dimension to choosing someone to work for you.

Public (shareholders or state) institutions are different, of course.

That doesn't make it ethical. I have a right to buy blood diamonds, that doesn't make it OK. They have a right to do whatever they want with their private business, that doesn't make exploiting your employees ethical.

are you retarded or just stupid?

Broseph !!fxnDb+Ve4 replied with this 14 years ago, 2 minutes later, 1 hour after the original post[^] [v] #308,211

@previous (E)
When someone is exploited, that hurts their livelihood, in the same way that diamond miners are exploited, just not to that extreme.

It also seems that you can't come up with a rational argument, so in just a couple posts you've resorted to calling me retarded. You're really embarrassing yourself.

Anonymous E replied with this 14 years ago, 5 minutes later, 1 hour after the original post[^] [v] #308,215

@previous (Broseph !!fxnDb+Ve4)
wait are you saying nepotism is "exploiting your employees"? please don't say yes lol

Broseph !!fxnDb+Ve4 replied with this 14 years ago, 8 minutes later, 1 hour after the original post[^] [v] #308,222

@previous (E)
Nepotism is favoritism granted to friends or relatives regardless of merit. If someone is promoted within a company, they're paid more because of their merits. If they're promoted over someone more qualified because of nepotism, rather than because of what they bring to the company, then they are exploited those underneath them.

The company is basically saying, "I could afford to promote you and pay your more for the value you bring to this company, but instead, I'm gonna take that money and give it to my nephew who's not even going to do a fraction of the work you do, because I can."
That's exploitation.

Anonymous E replied with this 14 years ago, 3 minutes later, 1 hour after the original post[^] [v] #308,224

@previous (Broseph !!fxnDb+Ve4)
LOL YOU'RE A FUCKING PSYCHOPATH

TO ABSTAIN FROM GIVING SOMEONE MONEY IS NOT EXPLOITATION

fuck your actually spastic

the ceo of a privately owned company could give his nephew a $1M dollar salary, it doesn't affect anyone else. i can't believe how uterly retarded you are

Broseph !!fxnDb+Ve4 replied with this 14 years ago, 9 minutes later, 1 hour after the original post[^] [v] #308,225

@previous (E)
He could, and that would be exploitation, because that million dollars was generated by people who work for the company. Rather than profit share, he's just giving the money to someone who did nothing. You pointed out earlier that it would be unethical if it were a publicly owned company. It would probably even be illegal in that case as there are laws to protect shareholders that prevent a CEO from just giving a million dollars to whoever he wants. So if you agree that that's unethical, why is it perfectly fine if it's privately owned? If it's privately owned, wouldn't they be exploiting their employees in the same way that a publicly owned company doing it is exploiting their shareholders?

All I'm saying is that cronyism and nepotism are a bad thing in all cases. I don't see why that's such a terrible stance that you need to resort to caps lock and calling me spastic and retarded. You're the spastic one typing in all caps as if that will make your point stronger.

WHOAH. BACK THE FUCK UP. ARE YOU SUGGESTING THE ONLY ETHICAL ECONOMIC ARRANGEMENT IS PROFIT SHARE?

THE DIFFERENCE, YOU COCK SUCKING COMMIE, IS THAT A PRIVATE CEO IS USING HIS OWN MONEY, WHEREAS A PUBLIC CEO IS USING SHAREHOLDERS MONEY. NEPOTISM DOES NOT LEAD TO THE BEST ECONOMIC OUTCOME FOR THE SHAREHOLDERS WHICH IS WHY IT IS UNETHICAL.

YOU ARE COMPLETELY IDIOTIC. MAYBE THEY STILL HAVE JOBS FOR COMMUNIST ECONOMISTS IN NORTH KOREA.
