As you may or may not know, Facebook has that new "browse friendships" thingermajig.
Using this, you can browse the friendships of people on Facebook.

This is browsing mutual friendships? Isn't the friend list public information anyway? You can do the intersection between two people's friendlist yourself...

You're confusing me.
The app will let you compare two of your friends, sure.
It won't let you compare two people who are not your friends, though.
And if, for example, you're trying to find out when those two people became friends, you wouldn't be able to.

Oh. I thought this was a way to reveal someone's friend's list if they had set it to private.
This approach kind of does reveal the friends list but in a more brute force way.

and you're trying to figure out if s/he's friends with someone who is not your friend,
this method will actually work, yes.

Well he did shut down TC. I and presumably a few others disliked him for that at the time, but I don't care about that anymore. Now he's just a wacky character that drops in occasionally.
